Your school trip to Madrid may be customized according to your wishes, budgets and preferences. Here is an example of group travel to Madrid:
Arrival and Departure Airport: Madrid
Day 1: Welcome to Madrid!
After landing at Madrid Barajas airport, you go through immigration and baggage claim with your students, and exit to the airport arrival area, to meet our Nacel Coordinator.
Nacel programme begins! After greeting, the Nacel Coordinator will takeyou to the accommodation in Madrid to rest/drop off baggage.
Day 2: Madrid – traveling through time, and urban types
With the Nacel Coordinator, you will see the touristic sights and the landmarks Madrid has to offer, but rather than going from one to the other like "a tourist", the group will see all these touristic places in the context of life in the city.
While touring, you will get a deeper understanding of Madrid (or, for that matter, European cities in general), and how people have lived, worked, and organized the city through time.
The tour includes:
- Old streets near Plaza de la Vila;
- Plaza Mayor, Calle Mayor, Plaza de Alcalá;
- Prado Park, Fountain of the Cibeles, Paseo del Prado and Recoletos;
- Gran Vía, Plaza de España.
Day 3: Day Trip to Toledo
You will be accompanied by the Nacel Coordinator to Toledo (by train), about 1h away from Madrid. Return to Madrid in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Power and Art in Madrid
With the Nacel coordinator, you visit the Royal Palace and the nearby Madrid Cathedral, both being symbols of power for centuries (and filled with art, of course!). Then you focus on Madrid's history with the Museum of History of Madrid, while discovering another district of Madrid, the Justice neighborhood (named after the Supreme Court of Spain being located there).
The day will end with a visit at the Prado Museum (or Museo Reina Sofia or Museum Thyssen).
End of the Madrid Tour! Depending on the time available, you go for small stops for some food or shopping opportunities in San Anton Market or some trendy and hipster neighborhoods for shopping and inspiration, or on the Gran Via. The Discovery Tour Madrid ends with a one-of-a-kind restaurant experience! Diner is included (diner show).

Your may then travel to Granada to enjoy a Spanish immersion.
Spanish Immersion in Andalucia
You may add to your Discovery Tour Madrid a Spanish Immersion in Andalucia.
Day 1: Traveling to Granada to your Spanish Language School Programme
You travel independently to Granada, and your students meet their Spanish host family. You live in a shared apartment.
Day 2: First day in Granada
The first day in Granada will be spent discovering the Sierra Nevada mountains, the highest in continental Spain, which make up the natural setting of Granada. Full day excursion to the Alpujarras.
From Day 3: Spanish Language School Programme
Your students attend 3 hours of Spanish classes every weekday in a closed group with native Spanish Foreign Language teachers (accredited by the Instituto Cervantes) in central Granada.
Visits and activities in the afternoons or weekends are included:
- Visit of Granada: Alhambra and Generalife;
- Visit of Granada: central Granada and the Cathedral;
- Visit of Granada: Parque de las Ciencias;
- Visit of Granada: Paseo por el bosque de la Alhambra;
- Visit of Granada’s historical neighborhoods: Barrio Albaycin Mirador de San Nicólas;
- Visit of Granada’s historical neighborhoods: Barrio Realejo-Carmen de los Mártires;
- Visit of Granada’s historical neighborhoods: Sacromonte;
- Food experience: Churros con chocolate;
- Food experience: Tapas Tour.
- Food experience: Tea in a traditional Moorish Tea House
- Activity: Gymkana (similar to treasure hunt) in central Granada;
- Activity: cinema;
- Activity: escape room;
- Activity: visit of Belenes Navideños (Nativity scenes);
- Activity: Flamenco show in las Cuevas de Albaycin;
- Excursion: Cordoba;
- Excursion: Alpujarras (the white villages of the Sierra Nevada)
- OPTIONAL (with additional cost): Excursion in Seville.
The detailed programme of the activities is finalized closer to the departure date.
When there is no activity planned, the students have some free time in town.
This program is available for 1 or 6 weeks and can be combined with the Madrid Discovery Tour.
